    INTRO
The International SolarCenter's prime location will support the goal of public relations. As a node between East and West and between North and South, the solar PR agency will play a pioneering role in communications and advertising measures in order to accelerate the energy turnaround.

The focus of the solar PR agency's activities will be on the topics of renewable energy, energy efficiency, rational energy use, solar architecture, concepts of environmentally-sound vehicles and mobility, and environmentally-conscious consumer behavior.

Creative commercial artists and writers on the solar PR agency team remain in constant contact with the companies, so that input on new products and developments is present from the beginning; this ensures an optimal transfer of information for future product presentation and events.

Conscious use if made of the specialized knowledge possessed by non-governmental organizations (NGOs), which are independent of manufacturers and politics. Mirroring the spirit of the times, an international communications network among universities, colleges, institutions, public utilities, industry, politics, the press, and NGOs will be institutionalized that transcends all trends.

COMMUNICATIONS-EVENTS
Events will be staged in the run-up to the opening of the ISC to present the progress made in construction planning and execution and to provide advance evaluation of the future needs of the building's users and visitors. This will support a building concept oriented toward operators, users, and visitors and will make a substantial contribution toward making "transparence” equal "acceptance”.

Regularly scheduled events will draw attention to the International SolarCenter's existing and future services. In the foreground is an integrative marketing geared toward both ecological and economic interests.

Honda "Dream" Honda "Dream"

In the context of EXPO 2000, the 3rd European SolarCarChallenge will be staged with SolarMobiles on land, solar boats on the water, and solar airplanes and solar dirigibles in the air.

Info Boxes

Info boxes with oversized monitors and displays will be permanently installed in urban areas of Berlin, allowing passers-by to participate in EXPO 2000 interactively. The spectrum of info boxes ranges from information and orientation to participation in forums and the opportunity to contribute ideas, criticism, and appreciation. When not being used interactively, the info boxes broadcast advertising.

SOLAR ZEPPELIN
A solar zeppelin in the skies over Berlin will provide recent pictures of installed solar facilities and solar roofs, whose potential for energy production is underexploited. Infrared photographs pinpoint heat leaks. The pictures are intended to provide concrete examples to stimulate discussion on the natural, technological, and economic potential of solar energy.

FILM PRODUCTIONS
Under the supervision of freelance directors, high school and college students will produce films on the topics of the sun and energy. Production will include the choice of topic, the script, and preparing the films for the media. The topical orientation is toward reporting and advertisements for EXPO activities, as well as an analysis of the film authors' living environment from the standpoint of energy. The process of producing the films and the movies themselves are both accessible through the info boxes. Passers-by can communicate interactively with the production teams via inter box.
